As soon as I started reading Ms. Kath's blog on mathematics, I liked what I saw. This blog is designed by a teacher, for teachers. It provides those of us who specialize in teaching math a forum for sharing ideas and new ways of thinking. I believe that too often we teach what we know to the students in a way that we're used to. The ideas and questions posed in this blog got me thinking about new things I could do in the classroom. Also, her "Celebrating Special Days" entry got me thinking about the unique ways we can make math more interesting to students. Finally, I found her entry entitled "Tips for teachers using technology" to be a useful back-to-the-basics list of why we should use technology and how we can best integrate it into our curriculum. Here's the link for that entry:

I don't teach math, but we'll use the info in "Math Learning" about Pi Day in our morning video announcements. Thanks for the post!
