This blog is authored by a homeschooling mom in rural Illinois. It serves as a somewhat overwhelming, all-in-one-place resource for other homeschoolers and math teachers alike. One of the useful features on this blog is the collection of (mostly) free on-line math resources. Denise, the author, has arranged these free resources by category such as "writing to learn math" and "worksheets and math practice." I'm always looking for new (and free) resources on the web, so I'm eager to dig a bit deeper into this area of the blog. Also, many of the suggested activities in this blog are simple ways to review basic math skills in new, and often engaging, ways. This blog is an idea-rich, get-to-the-point resource that I plan on using when I need new ideas for my classroom.
